ELECTIVE MATH 7 (2ND GRADING PERIOD)
Lesson 4 & 5
Use a Protractor and a Compass

This is a protractor, it helps you measure angles (in degrees):

Angle can be measured from either the clockwise direction or the anti-clockwise direction. From the figure above, the steps of measuring ÐPQR;
11.    Place the center of the protractor on vertex A and overlap the base kine with arm QP of the angle.
22.    Measure the size of ÐPQR by using the inner scale. Therefore, ÐPQR = 70°.

Lesson 6
                                            PLANE FIGURES

REGULAR POLYGON – all sides are of equal length and all interior angles are equal.

LESSON 7
THREE DIMENSIONAL FIGURES

Three dimensional figures are objects which occupy space. They simply called solids.
There are two types of solids.
11.    Polyhedra – are solids enclosed by polygons, such as cubes, rectangular solid,triangular prisms, quadrilateral pyramids etc.
22.    Non – polyhedral – are solids enclosed by both planes and curves surfaces, or curved surfaces only such as cylinders, circular cones,spheres,torus, etc.

Hello my students!
I would like to inform to you, this is the last lessons I will post on this blog. Hope you can browse and understand all the topics I summarized for the second grading period.
If you have your book, please try to answer all the exercises from CHAPTER 7.
